Lack’s Beach Service trains and employs about 150 lifeguards plus beach attendants every year from March through October. Our team of lifeguards keeps the beach safe and our attendants rent out chairs and umbrellas to beach goers. Rest easy with a Lack’s certified lifeguard nearby and enjoy beautiful views from our beach chairs.
In 2006, North Myrtle Beach City Council members voted to take complete control of beach safety, which had previously been ran by contracted independent service franchises. This step had never been taken before by a municipality in the Grand Strand area. Lifeguards are no longer "dual role" and do not rent beach chairs and umbrellas.
